Shuixiu Garden Hotel, Nanjing, China

I super duper love the tall calla lilies.  Paborito kong flower yan, reminds me so much of Baguio.

Outside the Western Restaurant is a lagoon.  This hotel is near Baijia Lake.  It's raining...di ba parang Baguio talaga.  This Rose has a sad story.  On that day I was in China, my husband told me about the condition of our friend from Hitachi, si ma'am Tonette, may stage 4 breast cancer daw siya.  Although I am not so close to her as compared to my husband, I know her well kasi ka-batch ko ang kapatid niya and her Mom was my Physics teacher.  Ma'am Jimenez shared her plight as a young mother.  She had to get the kids to sleep early so she can wake up later at night and then study.  Kasi napaaga ang pag-aasawa niya.  She would tell her stories to us to encourage us to be serious in our Engineering course.  Na-sad talaga ako, di ko napigilan na humagulgul sa iyak...but this incidence has prepared me. But I realized that I can leave my kids to God's care.  Besides, I don't own my kids, He just lent them to me to take good care.  If he ever decides to take them away from me, it is His own will and I should just follow.  Love you God! You are AMAZING!  Thanks for preparing me.

While nagmumuni muni ako, napansin kong 20 minutes na yung order kong Ham and Egg sandwich.  I called the attention of the waitress.  Ang sabi ba naman "Please wait for a moment. Our Chef is very busy"  Nanlaki ang mata ko kasi literally, ako lang ang customer nila at that time.

Sa next post nalang yung photo ng aking 20 minute Ham and Egg Sandwich.

Hotel Hopping

As my job requires me to travel at least twice a year (sana walang recession), nakakaexperience akong mag stay sa mga maganda at di kagandahang hotel.

Here is a looooooong post (tutal naman madalas wala akong time mag blog) on my recent travel cribs.

Chalon Hotel - Jiaxing, China
USD $60
I wasn't expecting much for this value but I was impressed when I entered my room.

I think there are two buildings for this hotel, my room was in the new building.  The only odd thing is that the elevator is quite far from the reception/lobby.  The free breakfast was so so, the place is quite old and run down, must be in the old building.

I like the view from my room.

Ang bathroom ng hotel dapat sosyal. Pasado!

bakit may glass? para makanood ng TV?
laging maganda ang feeling ng nagsasalamin

After a long day of auditing, magdidinner pa!

Time to rest.

i love the reading lights

Sobrang haba na pag dadagdagan ko pa.  Another post nalang yung other 3 hotels.

1 Year, 1 Month, 1 Week and 1 Day

I have successfully surpassed my Breasfeeding Goal!
I aimed to full BF for six months and mixed feeding until one year.

Aeden truly enjoyed breastmilk for his first six months.
Last March I had to travel to Beijing.  He has been on once a day formula by then.
I did not like the idea of freezing my milk so I had no stock.  Baby needed to swich to full formula for the week I was away.  He had no trouble thank goodness.

Upon my return, milk supply has reduced because I could only pump once in the morning and then at night.  Ouch..pain pain pain.  So I decided to breastfeed at night only.

Until now, Aeden my boy would be so excited on my arrival each afternoon.  It's so rewarding to see his smile and total excitement.  He already knows where the milk is "kept".

I do regret reducing my breastmilk production but it is really very tiring.  So, SALUTE to all Mom's who work and still express BM for their babies.  And to all Mom's who breastfeed!

Thanks to my Husband who has complemented me for this achievement.  He is now a Breastfeeding advocate.  Pinagyayabang niya na nag BF ako even when I am working.  Love Love Love it!
